Selection of Funnies: Working from Home

Greetings all!

If you are currently working, are you working from home? I am and I confess I prefer remote work! Although I do miss live interaction with my colleagues, I do not miss sitting in traffic for hours, which for me translates to more time and less driving stress.

However, it is annoying to get on a work call and realize that this is the exact minute my neighbors decide to train their dog or do carpenting projects just outside my window! Alas, as with everything in life, working from home has advantages and disadvantages, and we - humans and companies (and probably our pets!) - have reasons for our own preferences.

This post, however, is not about debating the pros and cons of working from home. This post is about “blessings, challenges, and absurdities we have to deal with while working from home.” Here are Irina Blok’s comics, which I very much enjoyed and wanted to share with you!

Sandwich Monsters

Greetings all! 

To continue the topic of sandwiches (read my last week’s Easy Tomato Sandwich post), how about these very creative Sandwich Monsters made by Kasia Haupt? 

Each sandwich has a distinct personality and a very cute and appropriate name – can you guess which ones are Dino-serrano, Tinker Bell Pepper, and MozarELFa? You can find more on Kasia's site.

Which one was your favorite?

Easy Tomato Sandwich

Greetings all!

Spring is here - and soon heirloom tomatoes will be in season! Did you know that heirloom tomatoes have been passed down from one generation to the next for at least 50 years – hence the name!? In the UK, they might be called heritage tomatoes. There are family heirlooms, commercial heirlooms, mystery heirlooms, or created heirlooms, and their DNA has not been modified in a lab.

All I know is they are more delicious than other varieties! I love them in this very easy tomato sandwich where they ARE the main ingredient. Of course, you can add hard-boiled egg, cheese and deli meats but I recommend you try this sandwich with just tomatoes first! 

Ingredients:

• 1-2 slices bread, toasted

• 1 tomato, sliced

• Mayonnaise (you can replace with a mashed avocado, etc.)

• Salt and pepper
