Green Tea Sangria and Other Spring Cocktails

Greetings all!

Spring is around the corner and I thought it was time to find a new spring cocktail. Google to the rescue – and now I present to you Green Tea Sangria that looks refreshing and very easy to make.

Green Tea Sangria 

Ingredients: 

  • bottle white wine (Author used Sauvignon Blanc, I think Pinot Grigio will work here too)
  • cups water
  • bags green tea
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • lemons, sliced
  • 20-25 mint leaves (I wonder if mint tea might work in the absence of mint leaves?)

 Instructions (condensed by me): 

  • Boil 4 cups of water
  • Add 6 green tea bags and steep for 5 minutes
  • Remove tea bags and stir in 1/3 cup of honey
  • Cool for 1 hour
  • Mix the cool tea with 1 bottle of white wine, lemon slices, and fresh mint leaves
  • Refrigerate for 2-4 hours before serving!

1-Week Stretching Challenge [30-120 seconds]

Greetings all!

Are you diligent about exercise and stretching and meditation? I confess I could be better, even though I know these activities are good for me. Sometimes it is the lack of time or motivation and sometimes it is just plain laziness.

What is great is we do not have to spend a long time to reap the benefits. I recently read about a 30-second stretch – which I am stretching (!!!) to 2 minutes – that can give you a morning boost so you feel more awake and energized.

I am going to do this quick stretching routine every morning, starting Tuesday, February 15, 2022, for 7 days. Do you want to join me for this 1-week stretching challenge?

Here are the stretches, with my modifications:

  • Reach down and touch your toes. Hold for 10 seconds. Modification: Hold this stretch for 30 seconds, while leaning against the wall, with knees slightly bent.
  • Rotate at the hips, left and right, for 10 seconds. Modification: Do 10 circles in each direction.
  • Lift your hands over your head, reaching for the ceiling for a couple of seconds, then lean right with your arms still stretched out, and then left. Do this for about 10 seconds. Modification: Hold the stretch for 10 seconds on each side. This also feels awesome when you have been sitting at your desk for too long!
