Greetings
all!
A
friend recently shared advice by Boucar Diouf that really resonated with
me. How
often do we postpone things to “later” and “then”? But “later” might never
come, and “then” is not guaranteed. Live
your life now! Today is the right day!
This
is what Boucar says (http://www.1000advices.com/guru/life_now-not-later_bd.html):
“The
day just dawned and ... it is already six in the evening. The week barely
arrived on Monday and it's Friday.
... and the month has passed.
... and the year is almost over.
... and 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed.
... and we realize that we have lost our parents and friends.
And we realize that it is too late to come back. So ... Let's try to make the most of the time we have left. Do not hesitate to look for classes that we like. Let's add colors to our gray. Let's smile for small things in life that are balm for our hearts.
And after all, let's continue to enjoy the peace of this time that has remained for us. Let's try to eliminate "then" ...
I'll do it later ...
I will say then ...
I'll think about it later ...
We leave everything for later, as if "after" was ours.
Because we do not understand that:
then - the coffee is cold ...
then - the priorities change ...
then - the year is over ...
then - health ends ...
then - children grow up ...
then - parents get old ...
then - promises are forgotten ...
then - the day becomes night ...
then - life ends ...
And then it's often too late ...
So ... do not leave anything for later, because we can lose if we wait for later
best moments,
best experience,
best friends,
the best family ...
Today is the right day ... This moment is now ...
We are no longer in the age when we can afford to postpone what needs to be done right away.”

What
did you think? Drop me a line!
Indeed! I have been attempting what is known as Living in the present and getting better at it. This is a skill we all need to get better at if we really want to enjoy our lives. After all, it is the little things in life that make our lives better!
ReplyDeleteSo true.. we all need to learn to live in the very moment and enjoy our lives and try to be the best version of ourselves and avoid procrastination. Soon it’s going to be late for “then” and “later”...!
